Reviews

Registered Nurse II in Camarillo, CA

demanding and lacking of support staff

Often understaffed and occasionally did not get a break or have a charge/break nurse. Other nurses were great to work with and there was a good amount of team support from other nurses. Management often stressed and overworked.

Registration Clerk in Grass Valley, CA

Great pay and OT available

I work in the emergency room of a hospital as front desk Registration. The pay and benefits are great but management leaves some things to be desired.

RN in Sacramento, CA

Horrible leadership

Dishonest, unskilled leaders. The lack of ethics, ability to appropriately and effectively resolve conflict, and support staff was shocking. The worst implementation of new processes and software programs I’ve ever seen. Unprofessional behavior by leaders and staff.

Pharmacy Technician in Redding, CA

Pharmacy Department

The pharmacy department hires techs with no experience over experienced technicians that apply. I don't understand why. Alot of older techs that been there forever that do just bare minimum to get by. Management doesn't listen and aren't helpful. Hire experienced staff

Psychiatric Attendant in Stockton, CA

sudden schedule switches, short staffed always

violent place to work. nursing staff tries there best, no real support from management. Very focused on social justice, you learn to love your coworkers and everyone helps everyone else

What tips or advice would you give to someone interviewing at Dignity Health?

November 23, 2019

For medical staff, prepare for normal situational questions, for example, “tell us a time you were in a stressful situation and you overcame it, and how did you overcome it”. Things like that. I don’t remember any/many purely clinical questions.

Is it hard to get hired for from this hospital? I have experience 9 years fro a hospital.

July 18, 2020

I was an employee in 2014. I worked in IMC units. That Unit is a hard unit. If you are new, they will give you the very high acuity patients at 5-1 patient nurse ratio. The Charge nurses talk behind your back and they employ the young, new graduate students who are still training to be their spy. You will practically reside in the Manager's office because every little thing will go to the Manager. And that Manager will not let it pass by without interrogating you. They practically micromanage you. You don't have your own autonomy as a Nurse. And their nurse UNION won't protect you if you tell them what's happening in the unit. Their UNION is working for the institution not for the nurses. Even if you call that 1-800 hot line, nothing will happen. They just sweep it under the rug. They are scared to have a bad reputation because they are non for profit hospitals. I wouldn't not recommend that hospital to anybody I know os my to my patients in that matter.
