First off, the Out-of-Conference Games. It begins with opening night against the Louisville Cardinals in the Georgia Dome facing former Auburn OC Bobby Petrino. Assuming Petrino hasn't left for another job by then, that is. It will be interesting since Auburn will be breaking in a new cast on offense at QB, RB, and likely starting WRs, as well. Also, Bobby Petrino is 10-0 in season opening games.

In-state FCS Jacksonville State will come to Auburn the following weekend on September 12th to play the Tigers, and then a few weeks later Auburn will face the San Jose State Spartans for the second year in a row on October 3rd. The OOC Schedule wraps up with Sun Belt cellar dweller Idaho in between Georgia and Alabama on November 21st

The SEC set the rotation schedule out to 2025 earlier this season, so as long as the conference stays at 8 game seasons in the 6-1-1 model, we know who in the SEC Auburn will play going forward. In 2015 it is the resurgent Kentucky Wildcats. Kentucky is in a very real position to win the SEC East this season, and Auburn will travel to Lexington to play the Wildcats during the 2015 season.

As a 13 week season, there will only be one bye week during the season.

So, the season begins with a tough Louisville team in Atlanta, an FCS team, then traveling to Baton Rouge to take on LSU. I'm ok with that, since we typically do better against LSU in early season games rather than later. Mississippi State will be another tough one immediately following the LSU game, but then there's a bit of a reprieve.

San Jose State will be a breather and then an off week before going to Kentucky for a rare Thursday night SEC conference match-up. Auburn will then have ten days to rest for the trip to Arkansas a week later.

Starting with that Arkansas game (and really a week earlier, but the 10 day break helps), Auburn is in for yet another vicious stretch to close the season. Arkansas on the road, Ole Miss at home, College Station to face A&M, then finishing the season with Georgia, Idaho, and Alabama at home. Remember, because of the weird schedule situation created last year, we're faced with Georgia and Alabama both at home or on the road each season.

So what are your thoughts? This schedule has the potential to be just as brutal as last season. The only difference is that many of the games we traditionally consider the toughest are at home. Louisville at a neutral site will be interesting, but could set up well for the Tigers. Sound off below.
